If you install Linux after you install Windows, Linux sets its own boot manager GRUB, and if you want to delete Linux partition, it will remove GRUB as well, leaving you without Windows boot manager, so you have to use a repair DVD/USB. You didn't say if you found it, and you didn't say where you got bootmgfw.efi from. Hi Roderick, I love rEFInd, it makes my day to see this boot manager pop up in all its glory when i restart my laptop. Main thing is to install Windows 10 first, then Linux. You read the thread I linked, then you would have tried looking for the BCD.
